Integrated Load Switches are designed for high-side power switching applications. SmartSwitch™ Load Switch devices are power-saving load switches designed to perform simple power control tasks. Such functions are necessary to extend battery life in portable electronic products. These load switches feature very low RDS(ON) P-channel MOSFET switch circuitry to control the output rise time and provide input control level shifting to simplify interfacing to other circuits. These features considerably reduce external component count and ease design efforts when compared to alternative discrete solutions, thereby reducing overall cost. SmartSwitch load switches are commonly used in smart telephones, PNDs, digital still cameras, and other portable personal electronics.
