To reach our objectives, we maintain a constant focus on quality with full support from top management and employees.

Quality Mission
We, the employees and management of AnalogicTech, are dedicated to customer satisfaction through our commitment to Total Quality Management and continuous improvement in our supply chain, products, and customer service.

Quality Policy
When establishing the Quality Policy, top management considers the expected levels of customer satisfaction, the needs of other interested parties, opportunities for continual improvement, and resources required. The Quality Policy provides a framework for establishing and reviewing quality objectives. The Quality Policy is communicated to all levels of the organization. It is periodically reviewed by management and revised for continuing suitability.

Hazardous Material Elimination

Soldering Profile
The peak solder reflow temperature for Pb-free is 260°C, which is backward compatible with JEDEC standard 240°C peak temperature for Pb devices.

AnalogicTech Surface Mount Preconditioning Solder Reflow (260°C Max.)
1st period ramp up temperature (150 ~ 200°C) 60 ~ 180 sec
2nd period ramp up temperature (Up 217°C) 60 ~ 150 sec
Peak Temperature (260 + 0/-5°C) 3°C / sec max
Ramp up rate 3°C / sec max
Ramp down rate 6°C / sec max
Cycle 3 Cycles

Moisture Sensitivity Level
All Pb free and Halogen free productions are MSL 1 level as of January 1, 2008 (Date code 8A)

All AnalogicTech production transitioned to Pb free for date codes after December 31, 2003 and all AnalogicTech production transitioned to Halogen & Antimony (Sb) free for date codes after December 31, 2007.

Tin Whisker Qualification
AnalogicTech has conducted extensive qualification tests of its Pb-free packages, including tin whisker tests with the following conditions:

1. 55°C +5°C, 93% RH +2 / -3% RH, 1300 hrs
2. 85°C, 85% RH, 1000 hrs
3. -55°C ~ +150°C temperature cycle, 1000 cycles

The results of these tests showed the packages to be reliable; with whisker growth less than the industry accepted 50 microns.

Green Compliance

Environmental Policy
As a result of global concerns about the health of our environment and the impact of harmful substances on the air, water and land, Advanced Analogic Technologies, Inc is committed to protecting the environment through our environmental management system. Additionally, we strive to continually improve our operations, products and services in an environmentally responsible manner.

Lead free Compliance Overview
AnalogicTech is in full compliance with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standards. The company defines lead-free (Pb-free) as compliant with RoHS standards, including a lead concentration that does not exceed 0.1% of product weight in homogeneous material and, if designed to be soldered, suitable for use in Pb-free soldering processes. All AnalogicTech production transitioned to Pb-free for date codes after December 31, 2003.

On January 27, 2003, the European Union passed the RoHS Directive, which became effective July 1, 2006. AnalogicTech's entire product line is compatible with RoHS standards. All of the company's products meet RoHS thresholds for cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). Please refer to Table 1 (below) for a list of RoHS Restricted Compounds and the acceptable thresholds specified by the European Commission. Also for reference, Table 2 provides a list of the plating material used for each package offered by AnalogicTech.

Halogen free Compliance Overview
Halogen free means that Halogen (Chlorine and Bromine) contained in the homogenous material is lower than the specified concentration limits as listed below.

1. Less than 900ppm of chlorine and its compounds.
2. Less than 900ppm of bromine and its compounds.
3. The total concentration of chlorine and bromine is lower than 1500ppm.

All AnalogicTech production is halogen free for date codes as of January 1, 2008.
