0.6-1.1 GHz Two-Stage, High Linearity and High Gain Low-Noise Amplifier

The SKY67161-306LF is GaAs, pHEMT and HBT two stage Low Noise Figure Amplifier (LNA) with an active bias design enabling very high gain, unconditional stability, and high linearity. The advanced 0.25um GaAs pHEMT enhancement mode front end provides a Ultra-Low Noise Figure of 0.3 dB while the HBT output stage provides high linearity (39 dBm OIP3) along with high efficiency.

The internal active bias circuitry also provides consistent RF performance over temperature, and process variation. This device offers the user the ability to externally adjust supply current, first stage gain and frequency response. Gain of >34db and output compression point of >22 dBm is achievable over the full 500 MHz usable frequency range with single 5V supply and 115 mA supply current.

The SKY67106-306LF operates in the frequency range of 0.6 to 1.1 GHz and the associated evaluation board design is optimized for operation in the 0.80 – 0.90 GHz band. Other evaluation board designs are available upon request. For higher frequency operation (1.5 – 3.0 GHz) the SKY67106-306LF is available as well. This LNA is manufactured in a compact, 4 x 4 x0.9 mm, 16-pin Quad Flat No-Lead (QFN) package and is categorized as Skyworks Green.
